Ini sangat membuktikan bahwa sangat jarang dari mahasiswa yang mengetahui tip-tip mencari previous studies (kajian pustaka) di dunia maya meskipun mereka telah familiar dengan mesin pencari seperti “google”, “yahoo” dan lain-lain
Seandainya mereka mengetahui tip-tip mencari previous studies (kajian pustaka) maka akan semakin sedikit mahasiswa yang berlama-lama dalam mengerjakan skripsi dikarenakan tiadanya previous studies (Kajian pustaka).
Previous studies adalah kajian pustaka atau penelitian terdahulu yang memiliki kesamaan tema yang mana biasanya digunakan peneliti setelahnya untuk membandingkan dan mencari area penelitian mana yang belum pernah diteliti oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Dengan adanya previous studies juga membuktikan keaslian karya dari Penulis dan juga terhindar dari sangkaan bahwa penulis melakukan plagiarism.
Dari uraian diatas tersebut, penulis tergerak untuk menuliskan beberapa tips mencari previous studies (kajian pustaka) karena betapa pentingnya previous studies dalam penelitian.
Pada umumnya Perpustakan digital atau Digital Library di beberapa universitas seluruh provinsi Indonesia menggunakan kata "repository", "lib", "eprint" dan “digilib” pada alamat webnya
